I remember starting this piece last winter but I could never get it quite right.
Should I make it portrait or horizontal? What would her board look like? What was she wearing? Her pose? Her expression?...ad infinitum. For 12 months I came back to it every so often but abandoned it until now.
I still don't know if I succeeded, but here it is anyway.
Actually, it's really good, and it definitely needs to be vertical. What's a bit messed up about it are her legs, specifically her ankles.
Granted the one on the left we are seeing straight on and the one on the right we're seeing from the side, to the unthinking eye her right ankle looks far too thick in comparison to the left.
Then there's the board itself. It's good to see the graphic on the bottom, but for it to really hang at that angle it would have to be either coming loose from her boots on the other side, or pressing the top of her feet directly to her shins.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Merry Christmas to you out there but don't forget: we are only guests here and so...listen to my favourite words... and look at all these wonderful pieces of art

Otherwise it's great.
