The Koala Insurgence began in 1983 as a defiant move against Australia's poaching activities....lol It would sound cool if it weren't made up.
This is the first time I combined 3 previous styles (the propaganda style with the art nouveau style with a pin-up figure) and I think it came out pretty good.
Wow, all three styles work really well together. I like the cynical and official feel of the nouveau and propaganda.... this feels like it was printed off in an official Party headquarters basement. And the pinup style certainly attracts the eyes.... which lends to the cynical feel. It's as if the woman is only there to garner support in the 18-25 male demographic. Someone at Party HQ did his homework.

OH man I love this! Of course Im a big fan of Mucha and I love that Nouveau inverted crescent moon decorated with stars! This will go a long way recruiting Oz's finest amongst the Koala population.
Those rebels get all the chicks!!
I only have one suggestion: The girls arm and the Koala are very similar in color, and with the strong blue contour line (which I love) it makes even harder to see her right arm. I wonder if you could make the contour of the arm somehow be more visible. Or maybe it is in the original and we lose some detail in this reproduction.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Merry Christmas to you out there but don't forget: we are only guests here and so...listen to my favourite words... and look at all these wonderful pieces of art
